City - U Parking Lots [posted on: 19-07-2013]

To all students who are renting City - U parking lots, parking lot rental period will end on 31 August, 2013. At the tenant's request for the payment of the parking lot for the new semester session, otherwise your access card will be terminated effective from 31 August, 2013.

To avoid any inconvenience, students must renew and make payment BEFORE 31 August 2013.

All payments to be made at Bursary and bring along payment receipt to verify with Student Affairs Officer to activate your access card.

For students who wish to terminate the rental car park, kindly please proceed to Student Affairs Office to return the access card and sticker. For those students who failed to return the sticker/access card, a fine will be imposed.

Students are reminded that availability of car park is based on first come first serve basis.

POSTPONE RE-REGISTRATION OF SUBJECTS [posted on: 25-04-2013]

The online registration will be open to all existing students starting from 29 April 2013 to 10 May 2013. Students must ensure that all outstanding (except tuition fee which is financed by the loan from PTPTN or FELDA) is cleared before then.

For those self-sponsored students (exclude Foundation Students), they must pay the minimum RM500 for the tuition fee on the day of registration, while the remaining outstanding is to be cleared based on the instalment scheme in the CMS. The student must request for the instalment scheme (available in CMS), otherwise we deem that you will settle the full tuition fee by the first month.

RE-REGISTRATION FOR HOSTEL [posted on: 17-04-2013]

The Online Hostel Booking will be open to all existing students starting from 25 April 2013 to 3 May 2013. All pending payment must be cleared up before the key to the hostel is given to the Student.

For those students who not fully sponsored for the Hostel Accommodation, the Students must pay the full semester Hostel Fee before admitting into the Hostel. For any enquiries, please contact your hostel provider.

2nd REMINDER FOR CAR PARK [posted on: 17-04-2013]

Dear Students,

As a reminder, the boom gate for the Car Park (situated at the entrance of the Campus) will be fully in operation from 1 May 2013. Students are prohibited to obtain Visitor Car Park Access Card from the Front Office.

We advise the students who drive to Campus, please obtain the Car Park Slot from the Student Affair Department. (Note that the Car Park Rental rate was listed in the previous notice.) Otherwise, the students are required to find its own parking slot outside the Campus.

 

STUDENT INSURANCE (LOCAL STUDENT ONLY) [posted on: 15-04-2013]

Dear Students,

Please note with effective from 15 May 2013, all local students will be charged RM35 for the Personal Accident Insurance. The insurance policy is compulsory. The charges will be stated in the Student Statement. No form is required. For further detail, please refer to Student Affairs Unit.

 

CITY U CARPARK [posted on: 29-03-2013]

Dear Students,

The management is hereby announced, with effective from 1 May 2013, the car park in City U Campus is designated as paid car park. The car park charges is based on 4 months term as follows:

Ground Floor - RM600 per term

Basement 1 - RM400 per term

Basement 2 - RM280 per term

The availability of the car park slot is based on first-in-first-approve basis. Students who are interested in applying for a slot can obtain the car park form from En. Razif or En. Muhaimin at Student Affairs department, 1st Floor Block B. Once your application is approved, the student must pay the fee at Bursar Office prior obtaining the Term Car Park Sticker and the Boom Gate Access Card. There will be no refund should you decide to terminate the contract prior to the expiry date.

As you will be given a designated car park slot, students are forbidden to park your vehicles in the other designated car park slot or unauthorised areas. Failure to do so, students' vehicles will be clamped, fined and / or towed. The fine rates are as follows::

Ground Floor - RM200 per fine

Basement 1 - RM100 per fine

Basement 2 - RM70 per fine

The fine will be automatically debited into the Student Statement.

Motorcycle

Although there is no car park charges for motorcyclist, the space allocated for motorcycle parking is limited. Motorcyclist is required to obtain the Term Motor Park Sticker from the Student Affairs Department. Similar to Car park slot, the sticker is given out on first-in-first-approve basis. Motorcycle parked without authorised sticker will be fined at RM50 per fine.

From 1May 2013, visitor car park sticker will not issued to Staff or Student.

FINAL EXAM QUALIFICATION FOR TERM 201303 ONWARD

Dear Students,

Please be informed that the Senate Board has adopted the revised policy on the Final Exam from the academic term 201303. In the revised policy, Student is required to obtain at least 50% of the total marks for all assessments, quiz, projects, presentation and any form of homeworks including mid term exam given during the course term in order to qualify to sit for the final exam.

E.g. Mr A has enrolled for 4 subjects namely,
Subject Name Total marks for all assessment + mid term Status of qualification for final exam
1. Immunology 40% Not Qualify
2. Chemical Pathology 55% Qualify
3. Pengajian Malaysia 60% Qualify
4. Biostatistic 65% Qualify

When Mr A prints his final exam docket, all subjects with the status will be shown on the exam docket. For the subject under the status "Not Qualify" (in this case is Immunology), the venue and time for the exam is not appeared. This means that Mr A is forbidden to sit for Immunology final exam.

Therefore, it is important for all students to monitor your performance to ensure that no surprises occur at your end. Please consult your heads of schools or lecturers for further information.

View Final Examinations Timetable (Term 201301)

Dear students.

Please be informed that you may view Final Examinations Timetable (Term 201301) start from 13/3/2013 to ensure there are no clashing (only clashing due to same date and same time will be entertained). However, you can only print out examination docket start from 1/4/2013 subject to outstanding payments, any request to change examination date and/or time for particular subject due to clashing will not be entertained start from 1/4/2013. Any student who wish to request Exam Unit to print examination docket from 8/4/2013 to 19/4/2013 will not be entertained. Thank you.

Student Visa

Kindly get your visa renewal form from Visa Unit to renew your student visa. Bursary will not entertain any insurance payment that made after 20th March 2013. Students whom are failed to make the payment before the date, need to follow new procedure. Read More..

Self-Printing of Exam Docket

Please be informed that Examination Docket for January 2013 Semester Mid Term Examination for Diploma,Bachelor and Foundation, and Final Examination for University of Ballarat can be printed in A4 sized paper only via student portal start from 8 February 2013 (Friday). Examination docket will not be released to student with any outstanding payments. Thank you.
